Allambee is committed to protecting your privacy. Please read the following to learn more about our privacy and information collection/use policies. Collection of Personal and Sensitive Information

For Allambee to provide services, we need to collect some personal information about you. This information will be collected from you directly or may come from a third party (e.g., a referral from your GP, other service provider). Information collected may include specific information (e.g., demographic information, name, contact information) and case records (e.g., regarding the content of your services, reason for attending, treatment plans). If you are accessing medical services you will be required to provide a medical history, so that we may properly assess, diagnose, treat and proactively address your health care needs. Clinicians are required to accurately document and maintain notes of their sessions and treatment plans. Allambee may also collect de-identified information for the purposes of quality improvement, service evaluation and research.


When you visit our website, we also collect anonymous de-identified data (e.g., date and time of visit, search items entered). This is used to improve our website functioning to create a better service for users. It is not linked to any personal information you may also provide. The website also uses ‘cookie’s which are small files which are transferred to your computer when you visit a website. Most browsers are enabled to accept cookies, but you may set your browser to refuse cookies. However, certain areas of the website may not function properly if you do so.


Do I have to provide my personal information to Allambee?

Providing personal information to Allambee is voluntary, however if you don’t provide this information it may be difficult for us to provide the requested service.


How information is used & release of information?

Information will only be used for the purposes for which it was collected and will not be released or shared without your consent. There are exceptions to this is in situations where Allambee is legally obliged to release information, as those outlined below: 


  • Subpoena – This is a legal document issued by the Court requesting information / documentation
  • Ethical/Duty of Care – When a person is at risk of harming themselves or another person.
  • Where it is anticipated a child or young person will be at risk of serious harm, abuse or neglect, if the information is not disclosed
  • With your consent as part of your engagement with our service (e.g. referral to another service, support letter, sharing of information between two services both working with you).


Is my information secure?

Allambee protects all information from unauthorised use, alteration, disclosure or destruction. Information both electronic and hard copies are stored securely and in the strictest of confidence. All reasonable administrative, technical and physical measures will be taken to safeguard your information. Access to information is restricted to those individuals who need to know the information to process it and provide services. All staff members including volunteers are bound by strict confidentiality obligations.


Can I access my information or withdraw my consent for recording of information?

Yes. You can request access to the information collected about you or request that we correct or change information. Requests for access must be made in writing and proof of identity is required.


Will this policy be updated?

We may update this privacy statement from time to time and will make any new versions available on this site. We encourage you to periodically review this privacy statement for any changes.
