The Allambee team includes skilled and experienced health, allied health, and mental health professionals, youth workers and administration staff.


The Allambee story.

Since 1993 Allambee has been providing specialised counselling

and support for people impacted by the trauma of sexual abuse,

sexual assault, or domestic and family violence. Over time Allambee’s services have expanded to more holistically support the health, healing, and wellbeing of individuals and families in our community. Our team includes allied health and mental health professionals as well as professionally trained youth workers and administration staff.


In addition to specialised counselling for individuals, children, young people, and families, Allambee also offers community-based women’s health services, youth services, and a range of community education and prevention initiatives including protective behaviours, respectful relationships and consent education, and health promotion events and activities.


Although based in Mandurah, Allambee provides services to families across the region including the Shires of Murray, Waroona, Boddington and Serpentine-Jarrahdale.


Our timeline.

1993

The Peel Sexual Assault Counselling service

opened its doors to survivors of past sexual

assault/abuse.

1997

The Peel Sexual Assault Counselling service became Allambee Counselling Incorporated, on October 21st, 1997.

2007

Allambee’s dedicated Children’s Sexual Abuse Therapeutic Service commenced to support children and families impacted by child

sexual abuse.

2011

Allambee started the first Peel Silent March for Domestic Violence.

Respectful Relationship workshops commenced in secondary schools.

2012

Allambee took on the management of the

 Street Net Youth Services in an auspice relationship with the Peel Community Development Group.

2016

Allambee partnered in the development of the Peel Says No to Violence Project.

2017

Through committed and successful advocacy, Allambee secured funding from the Department of Communities for the Family and Domestic Violence Therapeutic Service.

The Peel Says No to Violence Alliance was launched.

2018

  In December 2018, Allambee relocated to the new Peel Health Hub.

2022

Developed Kwobidak Mila group for Aboriginal women.

Allambee supported the Peel Community Development Group with the development and launch of the Peel Away the Mask III Report and Action Plan.

2023

New Women’s Health Service opened in May.

Secured funding for development of a new harmful sexual behaviour pilot program. Funded for two years by Department of Communities.
